Flames

Flames are algorithmically generated images and animations based on software written by Scott Draves in 1992. The software, believed to be the first open-source visual art, has been incorporated into many commercial graphics programs and ported to most operating systems. The beauty of open source, is that derivative work from the software created by Draves is now ubiquitous and global.

Flames are the visual language of the Electric Sheep.
